Welcome to DanceChameleon.com
Daniel McClain, the dance chameleon, is one of the Triangle's most widely versed dance instructors. What makes Daniel a standout in the realm of partnered dance is his ability to move seamlessly and faithfully from one dance style to another in such a way that the outside observer would likely assume that he only danced a single dance style because his authenticity in movement remains faithful to each dance style--thus, making him a "dance chameleon." Moreover, he has also does some of the newer dance fusion styles, e.g., blues-tango, and is excited about the new possibilities of these cross-over dances.
Daniel has been dancing argentine tango and linyhop for 7 years, salsa and ballroom for 5 years, and teaching dance professionally for over 4 years. His dancing style has been recognized for its powerful moves, crisp accuracy, and creative musicality. As a result of his unique style and movement quality on the dance floor, Daniel has been recognized in regional competitions, placing at competitions at Lindy Focus, the Atlanta Varsity Showdown (AVS), Boston Tea Party, and Carolina Groove.
He has an amazing talent for teaching dance, being able to break moves down into pieces that dancers of all levels can understand, and having the unique ability to gauge his lessons to correspond to the level of his students. Daniel’s students absolutely love taking lessons with him, and even though he lives in Raleigh, NC, students in SC continue to seek him out for lessons to learn more from this very talented young dancer.
